(Friday) Sunny

I had a meaningful day today. I attended the School Re-opening Mass to celebrate the new school year. The mass was held in the school hall with the presence of the principal, teachers, classmates and of course the priest. My classmate, Chole, was the altar girl at the mass. She helped the priest throughout the mass. We listened to the sermon of the priest. The priest encouraged us to be Responsible Angels. We ought to take up more and more responsibilities. During the mass, I felt peaceful and stately. At last, the Catholics received the Holy Communion. In the evening, our family went to our grandparents’ house for a barbecue dinner on the rooftop. After dinner, we played with lanterns and ate mooncakes while we were admiring the full moon. I didn’t go to the lantern exhibition this year. I hope I will go there next year.

(Monday) Very hot

It was a fantastic and fulfilling day today. When I arrived at school, I chatted happily with my friends, Jodie and Esmee. I am one of the discipline monitresses for this school year. I have to be on duty at the Student Activity Centre at recess. At lunchtime, I ate spaghetti bolognese with broccoli. It was delectable. My class teacher, Mrs. Ng, had lunch with is too. She ate fried rice. After lunch, I went to the library with my little sister, Anna. I borrowed two books by Enid Blyton, who is one of my favourite authors. I read a few pages of Secret Seven. It was interesting. At dinner time, I told my parents about my first whole-day school and funny things that happened today. I hope I will have a good school year and will make more friends.
