The Best Sports Day
4A Esther Chan

It was 16th October, 2019. It was our Sports Day. I arrived at Aberdeen Sports Ground at seven o’clock in the morning. I went there by school bus. My teachers, schoolmates and I were very excited and joyful.

First, I met Ally. We are in the same class this year. Ally and I are the same age and we have the same hobby. We love reading books. She is stronger than me because she always plays sports. She is our class’s PE subject leader. She is good at running but weak in swimming. Ally won a gold medal in the 100-metre race. She also broke the record. Ally was happy and surprised because she got the first medal in her life.

Next, I net Mandy. We were in the same class last year. Mandy was the best athlete in her class but she was disqualified because her feet crossed the red line two times when she was throwing the ball. She did not pay attention to the rules. She practiced a lot during weekends. Mandy was very disappointed and burst into tears. I comforted her and offered her a glass of water.

At five o’ clock in the afternoon, our class won the overall champion and the best cheering team. Our monitress received a big trophy from the principal. Our class were very excited. Everybody had fun. It was a great day!
