On the night of Christmas Eve, a burglar was wandering the street suspiciously, His name is Peter. He is muscular and tall. He wore a pair of black jeans, a navy blue T-shirt and brown boots. He was looking for a house to break into. While he was walking, he noticed an gigantic apartment with bamboo scaffolding around it. He thought, "This house is perfect! It is huge and has bamboo scaffolding around it, so it wouldn't be easy for others to see me stealing."

        Just when he was about to use a hammer to break the door, he heard that someone was coming. He quickly hid himself behind the bushes. The family came home after dinner. The family members were all exhausted after having a buffet dinner. Peter overheard their conversation and was delighted. He whispered, "This must be my chance to break into this house." He glanced at the balcony and climbed up the house skillfully. He finally made it into the house. He went to the living room and saw a lot of presents under the Christmas tree. He opened all the presents. There were a lot of expensive gifts like iPads, MacBooks, jewellery and more. He thought, "This family must be rich! Let me search the house thoroughly."

        Since everyone was sleeping deeply, Peter tiptoed into the master bedroom. He was amazed at tall the jewellery, cash and hi-fi equipment. He stuffed all the things into his bag. After a few minutes, Peter thought though it was time to go. Suddenly, Peter accidentally stepped on the dog's tail. The dog barked in pain. All the people in the house were woken up. Peter was shocked and anxious because he was caught.

        The family quickly called the police and they arrested the burglar for stealing things. The family were relieved but the burglar was miserable and anxious.
