(Monday) Stormy

        I had a terrible day today. The Education Bureau announced that students did not have to go to school because Typhoon Mangkhut battered Hong Kong yesterday. I felt upset when I heard the news. My mum and dad went to work so I couldn’t play with them. I kept watching the news in TV. I was shocked when I knew that more than a thousand trees collapsed. It made more than six hundred sections of our roads blocked. The train services were suspended too. I thought Hong Kong was facing a long and difficult recovery. In the evening, my mum and dad came home from work. We prayed for the casualties. I hope that our city could get back to its normal as soon as possible.

        I had a fantastic day today. My classmates and I had the whole-day school today. We attend the school assembly in the gymnasium on the fifth floor as usual. After that, we went to the classroom. We had longer lessons from now on. After the sixth lesson, I enjoyed lunch with my classmates and my class teacher. We listened to the music during lunch. I was chosen to be the monitress this year. I was excited to take up this duty. I will help the teachers to keep the class quiet. I hope I will be a role model for my classmates.
