Dear Maggie,
Hello! I am Sophie. I am delighted to be your pen friend. How many pen friends do you have? You are my first pen friend. I am nine years old and in Primary Four. I have a younger sister, Anna. She is seven years old. After doing homework, she likes playing the piano. We live with our parents.
I study at St. Francis' Canossian School. It is in Wan Chai. There are thirtyone students in my class. Mrs. Lam is my class teacher. She is very thoughtful. She uses Putonghua to teach us Chinese. In English lessons, we learn in English. Teachers use Cantonese in all other subjects.
My parents and friends always say that I am a cheerful and considerate girl. I show concern for the feelings of others. My favourite subjects are English and P.E. I like going ice-skating in Tai Koo Shing. I also like doing Chinese dancing. I dance every Wednesday and Saturday. Do you like dancing? Swimming is fun! My favourite sport is swimming. I am a member of the School Swimming Team. I am good at 'Freestyle'. Do you know how to swim? I love cycling too. I like cycling in Cyber Port. I have just learnt how to ride a bicycle. I have a violin lesson every Monday and a painting lesson every Friday. I like playing with my stuff toys after school. How about you? I want to be a lawyer when I grow up because I want to hold justice for the disadvantaged people.
