The Tortoise and the Hare
4D Channing Leung

It was a sunny day, the sun was dazzling in the sapphire blue. The sky was cloudless. The gleaming sunlight shone on a little green forest. The little tortoise and the fastest runner in the forest, the hare, had a running race. Everyone in the forest came to see them. Some cheered for the tortoise and some cheered for the hare.
The tortoise said, “Hare, you may be fast but I put a lot of effort in practising running.”
The hare showed off and said, “You little pity, you can never defeat me. Think about it, I’m the fastest and you’re the slowest all the time!”
Then, the hard-working tortoise and the arrogant hare began running. Everyone was excited.
Running faster than a bolt of lightning, the hare almost got to the finishing line. Out of the blue, it was stuck. The hare was looking at a crystal clear river. It didn’t know how to cross it. The hare was very confused. Hare couldn’t swim. It was scratching its head. It was finding something that could help it cross the river, like a bridge, a boat or some rocks.
Slowly, the tortoise caught up. Suddenly, an idea popped up. The hare threw a huge stone into the river and said, “I’m going to win and you are going to lose!”
Then the tortoise said, “I can just jump into the river and swim. I’m swimming! I’m swimming!”
Then the hare jumped onto the stone and used it as a boat.
All of a sudden, the hare started sinking. Even though the tortoise almost got to the finishing line, it still helped the hare. The hare was relieved. At last, the tortoise won. He got a prize for helping others. Everyone was happy, including the hare too.
