How I became Healthy
4C Lucia Cheung

Three years ago, I was a fat boy. I had the most gigantic belly in the class. I was 150 cm tall but I weighed 53 kg. My P.E. teacher, Mrs. Wong, told me that I was overweight. She asked me to do more exercises. When I was hungry, I usually had milk chocolate, spicy chips and salty French fries so I had sore throat every time. I needed to take medicine. I felt sick all the time so I felt very lousy. One day, I had a sore throat again, but this time I was very worried because I couldn’t talk. My mum was extremely scared, so she took me to the hospital.
Then, the doctor asked me about my eating habit. I had ten slices of chocolate cakes, five slices of banana cakes and a cup of lemon tea with added sugar for breakfast. I had a hot pot and creamy cheesy French fries for lunch.  I had deep-fried seafood, chicken and beef curry for dinner. I had six scoops of vanilla ice-cream with chocolate sauce and sprinkles for dessert. After hearing my eating habit, the doctor taught my mum how to design a healthy eating diet for me.
The doctor said that breakfast was important so I needed to eat a bowl of cereal and a banana. I should eat tomato and egg salad, beetroot and cucumbers for lunch and pasta with herbs, garlic and cherry tomatoes for dinner. I felt superb because I was fitter and stronger one year later.
I ate healthily and I was proud to be the Health Ambassador in Class 4D. I felt wonderful and I would like to say “thank you” to the doctor!
