Once upon a time, in an old wooden house, there was a girl called Annie. Her dad died when she was only two years old. Her mother was sick and could not work to earn money. Annie and her mother just had a little bread to eat for meals.

        One day, Annie found a box under her bed. She opened it. Suddenly, a wizard appeared! Annie was surprised about it. The wizard said, ‘What is your name, pretty girl?’ ‘Annie,’ she answered. ‘What do you want? I can give you everything,’ said the wizard. Annie said, ‘Money, for paying the doctor as my mum is sick.’ ‘Um… OK,’ said the wizard. With the money given by the wizard, Annie’s mum got well. She went out to work.

        Annie had lived with the wizard for almost one month. Then one day, when Annie went out to buy food, she saw a notice about the prince’s party. Annie rushed home and told the wizard about it. ‘Wizard, you said you can give me everything, right? Now, I want a pretty new dress for going to the prince’s party next Monday,’ said Annie. Annie was given a new dress.

        At the prince’s party, Annie was the prettiest. The prince loved her. Annie stayed with the prince and her mum in the palace and didn’t go home. The wizard was lonely.

        Luckily, one day, Annie went home with the prince. The wizard was overjoyed. She asked him to go to the palace with them and the wizard said ‘yes’.
