It is very clear that we all have our own weaknesses. Everyone should have a chance to be a librarian. Liu Dong-Mei is a girl with physical impairment and she wants to be a librarian at our school. Can Liu Dong-Mei be a librarian?

     Firstly, I think Liu Dong-Mei can be a librarian because she is determined and hard-working. Although she cannot control her muscles in her body, she still does training to improve her muscle control. Also, although she could not talk properly, she can still communicate with other people by painting. As she is good at painting, she can help to design the posters in the library.

Secondly, I have learnt to be creative and optimistic from Liu Dong-Mei. Dong-Mei is a good painter, she always uses her imagination to paint beautiful pictures. She does not give up her life easily even though she is severely handicapped. It is actually quite difficult for her to write and paint, but she still tries her best and she is not afraid of difficulties.

     However, some of our classmates may disagree that Dong-Mei should be a librarian. If someone has questions about the books in the library, she cannot help immediately because of her walking problem. She also can’t perform the duties efficiently in the library because it is not easy to control her muscles and she needs more time. This may be time-consuming and disturbing for other library users.

     To sum up, although Liu Dong-Mei was handicapped, she always tries her best. I believe she will bring more positive influences to us. Therefore, I think she can be a librarian.
