A Theft

One Tuesday morning, Selena Rose, a thief, stole a million-dollar exhibit from the History Museum. Selena used a hammer to break the window and climbed into the History Museum carefully. On the way out, she walked past a ten-thousand-dollar diamond necklace and her hair was blown onto it. The diamond necklace fell on the ground and it broke into a hundred pieces.

Thereafter, Selena went back quickly to her house. She put the exhibit into a bag and put it inside a cupboard. Ella Rose, Selena’s maid, took this bag to pack her own stuffs. Then she saw the lost exhibit in this bag. After she finished packing her own stuffs into the bag, she sat on the sofa and surf the Net. She saw a picture of the lost exhibit from the History Museum. She was shocked because the exhibit was the same as the one she saw in the bag. She said, “It’s so weird!” Then she went to Selena to ask about it, but Selena did not answer her.
Ella wondered that Selena might be the thief. She called the police to check who the thief was. When the police arrived, Selena came out and asked, “ What happens?” She was nervous. The police found some diamond necklace pieces on her coat and found Selena’s fingerprint on the exhibit.

The police caught Selena. She was so sad. This story teaches us that we need to be honest. We shouldn’t steal things from others. If we steal things from others, we will be caught.
