The Best Sports Day
4B Jasmine Ting

Last Tuesday was our red letter day. It was Sports Day.  My classmates and I went to Wan Chai Sports Ground.  We were on cloud nine because we wanted to win some medals.

First, I saw my friend, Amy.  We are in the same class.  She is taller than me and her hair is longer than mine.  We joined the 100-metre race.  We both wanted to get some medals.  When the race started, I ran and ran as fast as I could.  I fell down accidentally.  I felt blue.  Amy stopped running at once and held me up.  We didn’t win any medals but we were happy.  Friendship is important then prizes.

Then, I met Mandy.  She is tall and thin.  She is our Chinese subject leader.  We joined the long jump.  It was my turn, I jumped very far.  It was Mandy’s turn; she sat on the sandpit three times so she cried.  She was very disappointed.  I jumped very far so I won a gold medal.  I comforted her and encouraged her ‘Never give up!’  We became friends.  We were very happy.

The Sports Day finished at three o’clock.  Amy, Mandy and I enhanced our friendship.  We were over the moon.
