A biography of my father
6D Chloe Yau

My father, Thomas Yau Nin Bun, was born on 14th December, 19XX in Hong Kong, China.  My father came from an ordinary family.  He is the youngest of the three children.  He has one elder brother and sister.  He was the apple of his parents’ eyes.  However, his father was not always at home as he was a sailor who always travelled overseas.

When Thomas was twelve, he went to the secondary school, St. Paul’s Co-educational College.  In the past, this secondary school was a good school as their standard was very high.  Since Thomas came from an ordinary school so he had to face a lot of difficulties.  He always had butterflies in his stomach.  He had very few friends in the secondary school.  At that time, he met his best friend, Wing.  Wing helped him to overcome his obstacles.  They helped each other.  This made Thomas full of beans all the time at school.

When Thomas was at the age of fifteen, he joined the basketball team of his secondary school.  He also joined the basketball competition.  Thomas and his basketball team won the first prize.  This was the first medal in his secondary school life.  He was as happy as a king.  However, his medal was stolen by his team member.  He was hot under the collar and disappointed about it.  He told the teacher and the teacher helped him to get the medal back.  He was on cloud nine.  This also let him learn not to believe others easily.  At the age of twenty, the most important thing in his life happened.  His father died.  The Yau family were desperately sad especially Thomas.  At last, he knew that God would lead his father to a peaceful place.  He got a “Good Citizen Award” in 2002.  He helped the police officer to arrest a thief with his wife.

In 2012, Thomas became a Christian.  He knew more about God who created all the things in the world.  He is happy now.  It is because he has a good wife and a diligent daughter.  He has a dream now.  He hopes his family would live happily and wants me to behave well.  He also hopes that I can get on well with my friends.
