Long time ago in a village, there was a sweet and kind girl whose mother died when she was small. Her father married a woman who treated Cinderella badly. She had two daughters. Cinderella’s stepmother and stepsisters made Cinderella do all the housework and treated her like a servant.

      After several years, one day, a postman gave the two stepsisters an invitation to a cooking competition from the prince. Cinderella begged her stepmother to let her go to the cooking competition but her stepmother refused and gave her lots of work to do. Cinderella cried for hours. She thought that life was so unfair.

      Suddenly, a fairy appeared in front of Cinderella! Cinderella was shocked and she could hardly speak to the fairy. After the fairy comforted Cinderella, the fairy granted Cinderella a beautiful apron with flowers on it. She also gave Cinderella a recipe to cook French cuisine. Cinderella thanked the fairy and hurried to the ball.

      When Cinderella arrived at the kitchen of the palace, a servant tripped over and fell down. Cinderella helped him and ran away because it was almost time for the cooking competition.

      After the prince explained the rules and the prize for the best dish, all the young girls were very excited because the first prize was to marry the prince! Cinderella took out her cookbook which was given by the fairy. Meanwhile, Cinderella’s beauty and her hard-working characters had charmed the prince and he decided he would surely marry Cinderella. When the bell rang, everyone put their dishes on the judges’ table, except for Cinderella’s stepsisters because they didn’t know how to cook!

      After the judges tasted the girls’ dishes, they announced that Cinderella’s dish was the best. Cinderella promised the prince that she would marry him. In the meantime, the fairy banished Cinderella’s stepmother and sisters so as to punish their cruelty to Cinderella. At last, Cinderella could find her prince and they lived happily ever after.
