Dear Amy,

How are you, Amy? I have missed you a lot since you and Aunt Flora moved to Paris. I am sure my mother will be as pleased as I am when you and Aunt Flora come to Hong Kong. We’ll make good use of the two days. I’m sure you will have a great time here.

We will first meet you at the airport. Then, we will take a taxi to go crazy shopping in Causeway Bay. It is a famous tourist spot, especially for those who like shopping. Mother and I will take you to an enormous furniture shop. You can look at the creative and interesting furniture made by young designers in Hong Kong. You can even try the furniture if you want to. We can also buy the furniture which we are fond of, too! After leaving the furniture shop, we will have a delicious lunch in a dim sum restaurant. We often go there for meals. The waiters and the waitresses are polite and the food is tremendously yummy. After lunch, we will take a ferry to Cheung Chau. On Cheung Chau Island, we will try special snacks in a small restaurant there. You will learn the taste of Hong Kong style if you try them. We will visit many souvenir shops. The souvenirs are delicate. I bet you cannot resist buying them. In the evening, we will sit on the beach and admire the beauty of the sunset and the glittering sea. After that, we will go to the Peak by bus. The ride to the Peak is worthwhile because we will look at the fantastic view of the Victoria Harbour and have dinner in a celebrated restaurant afterwards.

The next day, Mother and I will pick you up in the hotel and visit Stanley together. We will go swimming under the sun. If you do not wish to go swimming, you can take a sunbath on the beach. We can build sandcastles, too. After that, we will go to Lantau Island. Mother and I will lead you to see the Big Buddha and visit Po Lin Monastry. We will wander around at Ngong Ping Village. Then we will ride on the cable car and look at the beautiful view of Ngong Ping. We will also take plenty of photos.

Please remember to bring short-sleeved clothes. It’s very hot here. Looking forward to seeing both of you soon.

Yours sincerely,
Adele
