The Best Sports Day
4D Hilarie Lo

Last Friday was our Sports Day. It was freezing but I was so excited that I did not feel cold at all! I bounced out of bed right after I woke up. Then I went to Aberdeen Sports Ground by nanny van. I was very excited.
When I arrived, I saw lots of parent volunteers, students and teachers. I met a few friends along the way. Some are strong and some are weak. After the opening ceremony, Miss Meng announced the start of the races in the morning. I was in the 60-metre race. Originally, I was quite confident of winning it. Unfortunately, I ran on the wrong track by accident! So at last, I lost. I was so frustrated that I could barely say a word. I was speechless!
Then it was lunch time. I had lunch with Kimberly and Keelia. Kimberly is one of my best friends. She is shorter but stronger than me.  We like different school events and have different hobbies. I love her very much! She was very considerate as she tried not to giggle when she knew I ran on the wrong track. At the same time, Keelia told me "I knew you've tried your best, Hilarie. All you need is to do better!" I felt warm after she said that.
Then Miss Meng announced that the races in the afternoon would start very soon. I was in the shot put. I was very nervous! Everyone threw the ball as hard as they could and so did I! But sadly, I lost again! I felt a little bit jealous of the winner. But right after that, my friends told me that our class won the cheerleading competition. I was so happy that my heart did a happy flip-flop.
At the end of the day, although I did not win any prizes, I had fun and I would try harder next year!
