Today the weather was bad. There was heavy rainfall with thunderstorms. The wind was strong. Typhoon Signal No. 8 was hoisted and we could not go to school.
In the morning, I brushed my teeth then ate breakfast. It was delicious. In the afternoon, I watched some TV programmes. One of the programmes was exciting because a man saved a girl by luck. They were safe at last. Suddenly, I heard the rumble of thunder. I was frightened and I hugged Mum. Mum told me not to be scared.
I was happy to have a special holiday. I could relaxed at home but I couldn’t meet my friends at school. I hope the typhoon will stop and move away from Hong Kong.

Today was the School Re-opening Mass. First I arrived school on time as usual. Then, the teachers took us to the school hall. There were crowds of students and teachers there. Soon, we had the Mass. The priest shared his story with us. It was a bit boring. He preached the gospel. At last, we sang hymns and received the blessing from the priest. The Catholic girls received the Holy Communion. I was sleepy because it was boring.
It was a wonderful and meaningful day though. I hope I will have a good start and do my very best in this new school year.
