Dear Maggie,

How are you? I am happy to hear from you too! My name is Iris Ng. I am eight years old. I am 133 am tall. I am in Class 4D. I have no brothers but two sisters. I live in Ap Lei Chau. I live with my parents and two sisters. I am polite, friendly and cheerful. I like chatting with my friends and I like studying because I can learn new things.

I study at St. Francis’ Canossian School. It is in Wan Chai. All the teachers and students there are friendly, I like them. This year, Miss Mang is my class teacher. She is kind. She teaches us Chinese. We can play games in the lessons, so I am happy. At recess, I like chatting with my friends and sharing food with them because they are funny. We have 32 students in our class.

My favourite subjects are Chinese, English and Music. My English teacher is Mrs Lam. She is kind and funny. I like her. She teaches us English and Music. Teachers use Cantonese in most of our classes.

I have many hobbies. How about you? I like watching TV because the programmes are funny. I like reading books because we can learn many things from the books. I like shopping and doing crafts too! Of course, I like playing badminton because it is healthy and I like playing the piano. I do homework after school and then watch TV. I want to be a reporter when I grow up. At weekends, I have my piano lessons, singing lessons and dancing lessons. At home, I like doing puzzles and playing with my sisters. I like shopping with Mum and playing with friends during the long holidays. I like drawing and reading in most of my free time.

My phone number is 1234567. Please call me when you are free or write me letters. Keep in touch.

Best regards,
Iris
