The Wrong Bag

5D Dorothy Tse

Last Saturday morning, Henry and his friends were on the MTR. They were travelling to school for a rehearsal for the school play.  Henry was a postman in the play so he had a dark green bag for letters.  The train was very crowded so the children had to stand.  There was a man in a brown suit next to them.   He also had a dark green bag.

While Henry and his friends were talking happily, the train arrived at Tai Koo Station.  When they got off the train, they picked up one of the dark green bags.  When the train doors closed, Amy, Henry’s friend looked back the train and realized that a man was shouting at them but they couldn’t hear clearly what he said.

They felt puzzled why the man shouted on the train.  They decided to open the bag and see what was inside.  In Henry’s bag, there should be some postcards and letters because Henry was a postman in the school play.

When they opened the bag, it was out of their expectation.  The bag was full of jewellery like necklaces, bracelets, diamond earrings and pearl rings.  Then the children knew that the man in a brown suit was a thief.  They were scared and didn’t know what to do with the bag.

Finally, they handed the bag to a police officer in the nearby police station.  The children were happy and finished their rehearsal at school without any postcards or letters.  They were honest and behaved well.
