A Beggar

It was my grandmother’s birthday yesterday.  It was hot and sunny.  I went to my grandmother’s house.  I saw an old woman on the way home, she was a beggar.  She wore ragged clothes. She had long golden hair, a small nose and a red mouth.  I thought she was pretty.

When I walked past her, she asked for money.  I was filled with sympathy for her.  I put some money into her small bowl.  She cried.  She thanked me.  She felt very glad and happy.

After she got the money, she bought many gifts for her children and bought good food and enjoyed the meal with me together.  Then, I asked her some questions. “Why were you sitting at the street?  Do you have any money left?  Do you want some new clothes?” She replied, “I don’t have a house to live.  I don’t have any money left.  I want to have some new clothes but I don’t have any money to buy new clothes.”  So I went home immediately to take some clothes for her and gave her some more money. I felt happy because I could help the beggar.  I thought the beggar was very generous because she could share the things she had with other beggars.
