Dear Emerald,

How are you getting on? I am very busy with my school work.

Last time, you told me about your family. It’s my turn to tell you about mine. There are four people in my family. They are my mum, my dad, my sister and me. My dad is a make-up artist. He works in Kowloon. He likes eating and cooking in his free time. He is the strongest person in my family. He can use one hand to carry very heavy things. My mum is a nurse. She works at Queen Mary Hospital in Central. She likes watching television in her spare time. She is patient and gentle. When I’m sick, she looks after me.

After school, I like watching TV and going jogging. I have extra Chinese and dancing lessons on Fridays. I always do sports and ballet at weekends.

Last Saturday was my birthday. My family and I had dinner in a restaurant. My dad ordered a tuna fish sandwich. He also ordered beef curry with rice. He had a mango cake and a cup of tea too. My mum liked the egg sandwich best. She thought it was wonderful. I liked the chicken curry with rice most. I thought it was fantastic. My sister liked the cheese cake best. She said it was tasty.

Did you do anything interesting lately? Will you come to Hong Kong? Please write soon.

Yours,
Zoe
